Come with us on a journey of taste

A holiday in our gourmet hotel in Italy means floating in seventh culinary heaven. Join us on a culinary voyage of discovery that will take you to the heart of the Valtellina valley and back to our culinary roots. We leave nothing to chance. This starts with the selection of food, whereby we follow a zero-kilometre philosophy. We only use products that come from Livigno or the Valtellina valley: fresh milk from the surrounding alpine pastures, yoghurt and cheese from the local dairy, meat, fruit and vegetables from local farmers and, last but not least, the sausage specialities of our brother, Paolo Giacomelli, which he prepares on his farm “La Tresenda” according to our grandfather’s secret recipe and which he allows to mature in the pure mountain air.

A rich buffet and a smile for breakfast

At our hotel in Livigno with 4-star cuisine every day starts with a rich breakfast buffet. The wonderful smell of fresh coffee and high quality fruit and herbal teas will lead you to our restaurant Lac Salin, where we welcome you from 7.30 to 10.30 a.m. with a warm smile and numerous delicacies. Crispy bread, a variety of jams, golden yellow Alpine butter, local cheese and sausage specialities, fluffy pastries, fresh eggs, vitamin-rich fruit and vegetable juices - who can resist? The adventure can begin well nourished, which takes you into the untouched mountain world in summer as well as in winter.

A culinary journey through the Valtellina valley in the evening

After an eventful day in nature, we invite you to dinner in our herb hotel from 7.00 to 9.00 p.m. in winter and from 7.30 to 9.00 p.m. in summer. It is probably our fresh mountain air, the decelerated rhythm of life in Livigno, the genuine, unadulterated taste, and the unique recipes from grandmother’s times that make our dishes taste so intense, so extraordinary. With great passion and love, our kitchen team transforms selected local products into true masterpieces inspired by traditional cuisine, and prepared with modern cooking techniques. You can look forward to a multi-course menu with Italian and international specialities, a rich salad, cheese and dessert buffet as well as fine wines from our wine cellar, which we also serve at our hotel bar.
